After Milwaukee’s Ryan Thang and Kevin Henderson were called for penalties, the Heat took advantage of the five-on-three. After Jeremy Smith made an amazing save to keep the Heat scoreless, Abbotsford scored 30 seconds later. Brian Connelly found Krys Kolanos by the side of the net. Kolanos skated to the slot and beat Jeremy Smith tying the game at one.

The Admirals found themselves on the two man advantage in the second. Kyle Wilson sent a centering pass to Chris Mueller, who was at the far post but Taylor recorded the save. Milwaukee ran the same play later in the five-on-three and at the 13:26 mark time Mueller fired the shot past Taylor and the Ads took a 2-1 lead.
