Admirals Sign Oligny to AHL Deal
Milwaukee, WI—The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that they have signed defenseman Jimmy Oligny to an American Hockey League contract for the 2014-15 season.
Oligny played in 61 games last season for the Rimouski Oceanic in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) after playing for the Prince Edward Island Rocket the previous four seasons, also in the Q. The St. Michel, QE native was also a major contributor for the Rimouski Oceanic during the 2013-14 playoffs, with eight points in just 10 games. The 20 year old lead the Rimouski defensemen in scoring last season, with seven goals and 29 assists for a total of 36 points. During his four seasons with PEI, Oligny netted 22 goals and added 65 assists for a total of 87 points.
