Pinkston Joins Ads on AHL Deal
Milwaukee, WI—The Admirals have signed defenseman Rick Pinkston to an American Hockey League contract for the 2017-18 season.
Pinkston played 20 games for the Admirals last season, joining the team in late December. In those contests he tallied a pair of assists, a +3 rating and 22 penalty minutes. Prior to signing with the Ads, Pinkston had ten points (2g-8a) in 27 games split between the Allen Americans and Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL. In 2016 he had four assists during the post-season while helping the Americans capture the ECHL Title.
The Trenton, MI native played four seasons of college hockey at Dartmouth, following three years with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL.
Pinkston and the Admirals will kick off the 2017-18 campaign in Iowa against the Wild on Oct. 7. They will begin the home portion of the schedule on Friday, October 20th at 7 pm against the Hershey Bears at Panther Arena.
