Granberg Signs 2-Year, 2-Way Deal
Milwaukee, WI--Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed restricted free-agent defenseman Petter Granberg to a two-year contract, two-way contract.
Granberg was claimed on waivers by Nashville on Nov. 22, 2015, and appeared in 27 games for the club, posting two assists and 13 penalty minutes. Over the past three seasons, the 6-foot-3, 201-pound blueliner has appeared in 35 career NHL games with the Predators and Maple Leafs, notching two assists and 19 penalty minutes, as well as 132 career AHL games with the Toronto Marlies and Admirals, amassing 23 points (3g-20a) and 62 penalty minutes. Prior to crossing the Atlantic, he split time between Skelleftea’s Swedish Hockey League and Junior League teams, winning an SHL title in 2013, and earning silver medals in 2011 and 2012.
