Admirals Ink 2 Forwards to AHL Deals
Milwaukee, WI— The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that they have signed forwards Paul Crowder and Mathieu Tousignant (TOO-sihn-yeh) to American Hockey League contracts.
After splitting time between four different teams last season, Crowder joined the Ads for five games, and tallied two assists in his short time with the squad. In 2008, Crowder turned pro with the Hartford Wolfpack, and stayed on the team for two seasons. During the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, Crowder played for current Ads assistant coach, Stan Drulia, with the Wheeling Nailers. In his three seasons with the team, he accumulated 123 points in 141 games, and also led the team last season in points with 62.
Last season Tousignant split time between three teams, including the Texas Stars, Idaho Steelheads, and St. John’s Ice Caps. During the year he had 10 penalty minutes in 18 games for the Stars, 19 points in 28 games for the Steelheads, and one point in five games for the Ice Caps. When Tousignant made his AHL debut for the Texas Stars in the 2009-2010 season, he racked up 7 points in 45 games. The following season, he scored 10 goals in 78 games, and registered 23 points, both of which are career highs. He also led the Stars that year in penalty minutes with 120.
The Admirals will kick off the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 19 at 7 pm. The remainder of the schedule will be released later this summer. Season tickets for 2013-14 are on sale now for as little as $180. For more information or to order season tickets fans should call (414) 227-0550.
