Ads Set First Phase of Promo Schedule
Milwaukee, WI—The Milwaukee Admirals announced the first phase of their 2013-14 promotional schedule today which features many of the team's signature giveaways, concerts and special events.
The rest of the promotional schedule, including the Admirals Concert Series which features free post-game concerts from national recording artists, will be announced at a future date.
The promotional schedule kicks off on Opening Night, Saturday, October 19th when all fans take home a magnet schedule of the 2013-14 season, courtesy of OxiClean. The following Saturday, October 26th, all fans will take home a Saz’s Admirals Schedule Pen.
The Ads will give out a pair of bobbleheads this year, beginning with a likeness of former Admiral Vern Fiddler hoisting the Calder Cup to help commemorate the 10th anniversary of the team’s 2004 AHL Title. The first 5,000 fans will take these collector’s items home on Friday, February 21st, courtesy of US Bank.
The second bobblehead of the year, sponsored by Lee Jeans, will be of Admirals goalie Magnus Hellberg and be available to the first 5,000 fans on Saturday, April 12th. Hellberg was a key reason for the Ads late season push to the playoffs and he finished his rookie campaign with a 22-13 record, a .924 save percentage, 2.14 goals against average and six shutouts.
The team will bring back many of the popular promotional giveaways from previous seasons, such as We Energies Calendars (10,000) on December 6th, Potawatomi Bingo Casino Cowbells (5,000) on December 26th, and Fan Appreciation Night with team pictures for all fans, courtesy of Saz’s, on April 18th.
In addition, Milwaukee favorite Pat McCurdy will entertain fans before and after the game and during intermissions on Friday, December 27th and Friday, April 4th. The world renowned University of Wisconsin Badger Marching Band will perform on Saturday, February 1st, including a special 4th Intermission on the ice following the game, courtesy of Reinhart Partners.
Purina Dog Day Afternoon, where fans can bring their dogs to the game for just $2, will take place on Sunday March 30th.
The Admirals are also proud to offer all Veterans and active military personnel free tickets to the team’s game on Friday, November 15th with a Salute to Veterans. This is the ninth consecutive year that the team has hosted this special night.
Potawatomi Bingo Casino will also continue to sponsor Chuck-a-Puck, where fans can purchase foam pucks at select games for $1 and then throw them onto the ice for a chance to win great prizes. The proceeds from Chuck-a-Puck go to the Milwaukee Admirals Power Play Foundation, which is the team’s charitable arm.
The Aurora Sports Medicine Institute Autograph Corner also returns for another year. At 20 different games during the season two Admirals players will sign autographs after the game in the Autograph Corner, which is located outside section 225.

The Admirals begin the regular season with a pair of games in Abbotsford on October 11 and 12 and thenl kick off the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 19 at 7 pm. Season tickets for 2013-14 are on sale now for as little as $180 and currently season ticket holders are able to purchase individual game tickets exclusively until they go on sale to the general public on September 17th.
