Admirals Present the Hunt for Pink October
Milwaukee, WI– Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that for the fifth consecutive season the team will present the “Hunt for Pink October,” where they will help promote cancer awareness at all of the team’s games during October.
The Admirals will wear special pink jerseys on October 29th and 30th and those jerseys will be auctioned off via an online and silent auction with the proceeds going to Lee National Denim Day. Since 1996, Lee National Denim Day® has raised nearly $80 million for the fight against breast cancer, $5 at a time. Money raised supports the Woman’s Cancer Programs of Entertainment Industry Foundation and Cancer Support Communities. Click here to donate to the Admirals team or start your own!
The online auction at milwaukeeadmirals.com will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, October 24th and will run through 4:00 pm on Friday, October 28th. The final bids online will then become the starting bids for the silent auction, which will be located in the West Atrium, and begin when the doors open on Saturday, October 29th at 6:00 pm. It will conclude with five minutes to go in the second intermission on Sunday, October 30. The winning bidders will have the opportunity to meet the player whose jersey they won, provided they are at the game on the 30th.
Also on the 30th, the first 5,000 fans will receive a set of pink cheer-stix, courtesy of Lee Jeans, and there will be a pair of ten foot pink ribbons emblazoned on the Bradley Center Ice during the month as well.
The Admirals kick off the regular season on Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 pm at the Peoria Civic Center against the Peoria Rivermen. The Ads commence the home portion of their schedule on Friday, October 14th at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center against the Chicago Wolves.
