Ads Get Three from Predators
Milwaukee, WI—Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned goaltender Juuse Saros and forwards Frederick Gaudreau and Trevor Smith to the Admirals.
In addition, the Admirals have assigned goalie Mark Visentin to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL and released forward Shawn O’Donnell and goalie Dov-Grumet Morris from the Professional Try-Out contracts (PTO).
Saros, who was recalled on an emergency basis on Saturday, started and earned his first NHL win against Pittsburgh last night. He stopped 34 of 35 shots faced, including all six while shorthanded. Gaudreau skated 9:01 and blocked three shots for the Preds in their 5-1 victory over the Penguins, while Smith blocked two shots in 7:20 of ice time.
Visentin stopped 34 of 36 shots in the Admirals 3-2 shoot-out loss to Rockford on Saturday night.
Milwaukee travels to Iowa to face the Wild Friday. The Ads commence their home schedule on Saturday, October 29 at 6 pm when they host the Wild at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
