Irwin Recalled by Predators
Milwaukee, WI—Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Matt Irwin from the Admirals.
Irwin has played four games for the Admirals this season, recording one assist and four penalty minutes. He leads the team in shots on goal with 16. The Victoria, BC, native has 155 career NHL games to his credit with San Jose (2012-15) and Boston (2015-16), notching 50 points (16g-34a). The 6-foot-1, 207-pound blueliner spent two seasons at UMass from 2008-10 before signing with San Jose as an undrafted free agent.
Milwaukee travels to Iowa to face the Wild Friday. The Ads commence their home schedule on Saturday, October 29 at 6 pm when they host the Wild at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
