Preds, Ads Swap Goalies
Milwaukee, WI—Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile today announced that the club has recalled goaltender Anders Lindback from the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals. Additionally, the club has assigned goaltender Juuse Saros to Milwaukee.
Saros spent parts of the past two seasons in Milwaukee accumulating a 42-10 record with a 2.13 goals against average, a .924 save percentage and five shutouts. Selected to play in the AHL All-Star game last season, the Forssa, Finland native was 13-2 with a 1.86 GAA and .934 save percentage before heading to Nashville for the rest of the season.
Lindback leads the American Hockey League in wins with eight and has helped the Admirals jump out to a Central Division-leading 8-5-0 record. He’s posted a 2.46 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage in 11 games with Milwaukee while recording one shutout on Nov. 8 vs. the Chicago Wolves.
Saros will join the Admirals in Cleveland as they play a two-game set with the Monsters beginning Thursday night at 6 pm CT. Milwaukee isn't back home until the day before Thanksgiving when they host the Chicago Wolves at 7 pm at Panther Arena.
