Preds Recall Three, Assign Lindback
Milwaukee, WI--The Predators have recalled forward Pontus Aberg and Freddy Gaudreau and goalie Juuse Saros from the Admirals. The Preds have also assigned goalie Anders Lindback to Milwaukee, while the Ads have summoned Joonas Lyytinen from Norfolk of the ECHL.
Through seven games with the Admirals, Gaudreau has one goal and three assists along with 15 shots on goal. He has 105 points (45g-60a) in 191 career AHL games with the Admirals. Prior to being sent to Milwaukee on Nov. 10, the 6-foot forward tallied two points (2a) in 10 games with the Predators, firing 11 shots and averaging 10:18 of ice time. Gaudreau recorded his first career multi-point game on Nov. 3 at Anaheim when he picked up two assists in Nashville’s 5-3 victory.
Aberg played in four games with Milwaukee during his conditioning stint and tallied four goals, two assists and 12 shots. He scored in his first three games with the Admirals and found the back of the net twice in Milwaukee's 3-2 win over the Chicago Wolves on Nov. 12. The Stockholm, Sweden, native posted two assists in nine games with the Predators this season and has one goal and three assists in 24 career NHL games.
Saros appeared in two games for Milwaukee on Thursday and Saturday, stopping 45 of 52 shots as the Admirals fell to the Cleveland Monsters in both games. The Finnish goaltender has made four starts in goal for the Predators this season, going 1-3-0 with a .855 save percentage. Saros earned his first win of the season - a 4-3 overtime decision in Los Angeles - in his last start with the Preds on Nov. 4. He holds a career NHL record of 11-12-3 along with a 2.64 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
Lindback, who is 8-3 with a 2.46 GAA and a .918 save percentage with the Admirals this season, served as the back-up to Pekka Rinne in two Predators games during his recall.
Lyytinen, tallied two goals for Norfolk over the weekend. He has played in three games for Milwaukee this season.
