Preds Ink Pardy, Assign Salomaki
Milwaukee, WI--Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile today announced that the club has signed defenseman Adam Pardy to a one-year, two-way contract. In addition, the Predators have assigned forward Miikka Salomaki to the Admirals on a conditioning assignment.
Pardy has seen action in 12 games for the Admirals this season, and has earned five points (2g-3a) and a +2 rating. He has appeared in 338 NHL games and recorded 52 points (4g-48a) in parts of eight seasons with Calgary, Dallas, Buffalo, Winnipeg and Edmonton. The blueliner totaled four points (0g-4a) in 23 contests in 2015-16 with the Jets and Oilers. Pardy has registered a +8 rating and 263 penalty minutes in the NHL.
Salomaki appeared in the first two games of the season for the Predators before being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 18 with an upper-body injury. The Raahe, Finland native has played in parts of three seasons with the Admirals, scoring 28 goals and dishing out 42 assists for 70 points in 117 games.
Milwaukee hits the road for a four-game road trip starting with a pair of games this weekend in Cleveland. The Ads are back home again on Saturday, December 10 at 6 pm against the Chicago Wolves in Amtrak Rivalry Action.
