San Diego, CA–Goalie Troy Grosenick stopped 23 shots to lead the Admirals to a 3-2 win over the San Diego Gulls Saturday at Pechanga Arena.

Grosenick made several brilliant saves to keep the Admirals in the game. The Admirals snapped a three-game losing skid with the victory.

The game-winner was scored by Tye Felhaber at 6:58 of the third period. From neutral, defenseman Jack Matier fed a pass to Felhaber on the right wing. Felhaber skated to the right circle and whipped a wrist shot inside the left post for his eighth goal of the season. It was his second game-winner of the year.

San Diego scored a power play goal just 1:28 into the contest when Andrew Agozzino snapped a shot from between the circles through traffic for his 16th goal of the season.

Milwaukee tied the game at 2:13 of the first frame. Luke Prokop’s shot from the right point was deflected off the chest of Gulls goalie Tomas Suchanek by Anthony Angello. The rebound went toward the left post and Wade Allison deposited the puck into the goal for his first marker as a member of the Admirals and his 11th goal of the American Hockey League season.

Sasha Pastujov gave the Gulls a 2-1 lead at 11:06 of the second period. His first shot from the right circle was blocked by Ads defenseman Griffin Luce, but Pastujov corralled the loose puck, skated to his left, and shot the puck into the goal for his sixth tally of the campaign.

Admirals forward Joakim Kemell blasted a one-timer form the slot to tie the game 2-2 at 2:04 of the third period. Zach L’Heureux, from his knees in the right corner, slid a pass to a wide-open Kemell for the goal, his 15th of the season. L’Heureux and Griffin Luce, playing his first Admirals game, recorded the assists.

Milwaukee’s four game road trip continues Tues., Mar. 19 at Colorado. The Admirals return to UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena Sat., Mar. 23 to host the Henderson Silver Knights.
