Milwaukee, WI—Brady Martin scored the Ads lone goal on Friday night as they suffered their first loss of the season in 4-1 defeat against the Colorado Eagles at Panther Arena.
Things didn’t start well for the Admirals as they fell behind for the first time this season when Colorado’s Adam Beckman scored from between the wheels exactly four minutes into the game. The Eagles pushed their lead to three with goals from Christian Wolanin and Taylor Makar just 69 seconds apart and they led by three after 20 minutes of play
The Eagles pushed their lead to 4-0 when Maros Jedlicka followed his own shot and pushed the puck past Admirals netminder Isak Posch.
Martin got the Ads on the board 4:33 into the third period with his second goal of the season. Joakim Kemell took the puck through the high slot and dished it to a crisscrossing Martin, who beat Ilya Nabokov five-hole.
Milwaukee had opportunities later in the period, including a penalty shot awarded to Kemell, but they couldn’t convert and fell to the Eagles.
The Admirals killed off three of the four Colorado power-plays on the night but couldn’t score on five chances with the man advantage.
The Ads will look for revenge on Saturday night as the two teams get back at it at 6 pm from Panther Arena.
