Seven Ads at Preds’ Dev Camp

Milwaukee, WI— In preparations for the 2022-23 season, and a chance to make their mark in Nashville, several Admirals players are set to hit the ice and participate in the Predators’ 2022 Development Camp starting on Monday.

Seven Admirals players from the 21-22 season are featured on this year’s Development Camp roster — Egor Afanasyev, Xavier Bouchard, Marc Del Gaizo, Jachym Kondelik, Juuso Parssinen, Spencer Stastney, and Adam Wilsby.

Egor Afanasyev and Marc Del Gaizo were two players who had stellar first seasons with the Admirals. Afanasyev tallied 33 points, with 12 goals and 21 assists in 74 games. The 45th overall draft pick of the Predators in 2019 finished 8th in scoring for the Admirals this past season. Del Gaizo had 19 points, with 6 goals and 13 assists in 67 games. Both Afanasyev and Del Gaizo were huge attributes in the Admirals’ success to reach the second round of the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2011.

Juuso Parssinen and Adam Wilsby were late additions to the Admirals and joined the roster during the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs. Parssinen made an immediate impact and tallied 3 points in 9 games. Wilsby played in 3 games during the Ads’ matchup against the Chicago Wolves.

The purpose of this year’s camp is to educate and direct players in their pro development and conditioning programs. The training itinerary features a variety of on- and off-ice testing, dry-land activities and workouts, on-ice fundamentals work, video sessions, media and nutrition education and team-building activities. The prospects will also receive instruction on training principles such as sport-specific power and strength enhancement, flexibility and off-ice conditioning.

The camp officially opens on Monday, July 11 with team meetings, off-ice testing and the first of the week’s on-ice sessions. Prospects will also hit the ice on Tuesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 14.
