Ads Alums Chase Stanley Cup

Although the Nashville Predators have been eliminated from the postseason, former Ads Samuel Girard (Colorado Avalanche), Patric Hornqvist (Florida Panthers) and Jarred Tinordi (New York Rangers) are competing to hoist the Stanley Cup.

Seventeen Admiral players have their name etched on the Stanley Cup, with Hornqvist being the most recent addition as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2017.

Samuel Girard played eight games for the Admirals in the 2016-17 season and now plays as a defenseman for the Avalanche. Girard put up five goals and 23 assists in 67 regular season games and now has two assists in four playoff appearances.

Patric Hornqvist was a member of the 2008-09 Milwaukee squad, appearing in 49 games and totaling 35 regular season points in addition to eight postseason points. The 5-foot-11 right wing has appeared in six playoff games with the Panthers, contributing a goal and assist. In the regular season, Hornqvist played 65 games for Florida, scoring 11 goals and 17 assists.

Jarred Tinordi played two seasons in Milwaukee, appearing in 107 total games and contributing 28 points. Tinordi, a 6-foot-6 defenseman, played seven games for the Rangers in the regular season and is on the Stanley Cup roster.
