Rosemont, IL–Goalie Cayden Primeau stopped 31 shots to lead the Chicago Wolves to a 4-2 win over the Admirals Saturday at Allstate Arena.

The game was the first time the Admirals recorded more than 30 shots in a contest this season and also the first time Milwaukee outshot its opponent. The Admirals had 33 shots to Chicago’s 24.

Chicago scored three goals on seven first period shits to lead 3-0 after the first frame. Aleksi Heimosalmi scored at 6:16. Viktor Neuchev tallied at 14:25 and Pierre-Olivier Joseph scored his first goal of the season at 17:51.

The Wolves Bryce Montgomery scored his first American Hockey League goal at 4:11 of the second period to boost Chicago to a four-goal lead.

Milwaukee finally got on the board at 11:42 of the second stanza. Defenseman Ryan Ufko received a pass in the right circle from Jake Lucchini. The Wolves goalie came out to challenge, but Ufko deked to the goal line and slid the puck into the net for his first goal of the year. Lucchini and Aiden Fink assisted.

Soon thereafter, Milwaukee owned a lengthy 5-on-3 power play. Cole O’Hara shot the puck from the left circle inside the right corner for his second marker of the campaign. Fink and Tanner Molendyk assisted to make the score 4-2.

The Admirals pulled goalie Isak Posch with 2:48 remaining in the game, but couldn’t draw closer.
