Milwaukee, WI—Denis Gurianov and Mark Jankowski each tallied a pair of goals to help pace the Admirals offense in a 7-4 win over the Chicago Wolves on Saturday night at Panther Arena.
The win was the sixth in seven games for Milwaukee, who saw their record improve to 16-9-1 on the season with two games left in the 2023 portion of their schedule.
Gurianov also added two assists in the game for a four-point night, while Jankowski had three points (2g-1a). Marc Del Gaizo (2a) and Cal O’Reilly (1g-1a) also contributed multi-point efforts in the game.
For O’Reilly he moved within nine points of setting the Admirals All-Time AHL scoring record, which is currently held by Ads legend Darren Haydar at 276 points. O’Reilly now sits at 268 points.
Fedor Svechkov, and Kevin Wall also lit the lamp for the Admirals, while Troy Grosenick stopped 27 shots to earn his eighth win of the season in net for Milwaukee.
Early on it looked like the Ads might run away with the game as they scored three times in the first 10:45 to jump out to a 3-0. However, the Wolves scored the next four goals to grab the lead but Gurianov’s first of the night with just 55 seconds left in the second period knotted the score at four after 40 minutes.
Wall got the game-winner four minutes into the final frame when the puck took an odd bounce off the boards and careened to the front of the net where Chicago goalie Kevin Kincaid made the initial stop on O’Reilly, but the puck went to Wall, who had a wide open net.
Gurianov gave the Ads some insurance with a power-play marker with 6:04 to go in the game and then Jankowski sealed it with an empty netter at 18:34.
The Admirals return to action on Wednesday night when they play host to the Chicago Wolves at 7 pm at Panther Arena.
