Happy Festivus!

MILWAUKEE, WI– The Admirals will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Seinfeld’s iconic yet wacky holiday, Festivus, when they take on the Hartford Wolfpack on Dec. 14. Joining will be Denim Vest guy himself, Kevin McDonald, who will also sign autographs and possibly participate in Airing of Grievances and Feats of Strength.

Kevin McDonald was born in Montreal, Canada, appearing in a plethora number of projects, more commonly known for, The Kids in The Hall, Sky High, and Galaxy Quest. Most recently, McDonald won Best Supporting Actor in 2020 for the film, Boys vs Girls, at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival.

Festivus is Seinfeld’s iconic holiday that stems from Mr. Costanza hating all commercial and religious aspects of Christmas, so he made up Festivus as a replacement. There are specific rules to be followed in order to celebrate correctly.

The first rule of Festivus is to have your aluminum pole since it is “very low maintenance.” Second, is the dinner, which is meatloaf or spaghetti in red sauce. Third is the Air of Grievances, where everyone goes around expressing how they were disappointed with other friends and family this year. Last but not least, the Feats of Strength. This is when the head of the family tests one participant’s strength and the only way for the dinner to be over is once the head of the family is pinned down.

Tickets for Dec. 14 game vs Hartford are available for purchase online at milwaukeeadmirals.com/tickets or you can come into the office located at 510 W Kilbourn Ave. from 9:00am – 5:00pm. You are also able to purchase tickets at the box office the day of the game
