Ingram Gets the Shut Out in Rockford

Goalie Connor Ingram stopped 29 shots to lead the Milwaukee Admirals to a 2-0 win over the Rockford IceHogs Tuesday at BMO Harris Bank Center.

The shutout was Ingram’s, and the Admirals, first of the season. It was the 13th career shutout for the Milwaukee netminder.

Admirals Captain Cole Schneider scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season on the power play at 4:54 of the third period. It proved to be the game-winner. David Farrance dance whipped a pass from the right wing boards, through the neutral zone to Egor Afanasyev on the left wing. Afanasyev led Schneider with a feed as he drove the middle. Schneider was behind the defenders and slid a backhander into the net for his third power play goal of the campaign. Afanasyev and Farrance earned the assists.

Admirals forward Rocco Grimaldi scored an empty-net goal at 19:15 of the third period to seal the win. It was his ninth goal of the season. Mitch McLain and Matt Donovan recorded helpers.

Milwaukee visits Grand Rapids Wed., Dec. 22. The Admirals return home Thurs., Dec. 30 to host the Rockford IceHogs at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
