Ads Alum Weber Goes for The Cup

Milwaukee, WI–Canadiens Captain Shea Weber will look to become the 19th Admirals Alum to have his named engraved on the Stanley Cup as the Habs punched their ticket to the Finals with an OT win over Las Vegas in game six of their series.

Weber, who scored the first goal of the game for Montreal in game six, registered 12 goals and 15 assists in 46 regular season games for the Admirals in 2005-06 and then posted 11 points (5g-6a) in 14 playoff games to help the club reach the Calder Cup Finals where they fell to Hershey.

Fellow Canadien Cole Caufield never skated for the Admirals, but his grandfather, Wayne Caufield,  played five seasons with the Ads during the early 70’s and was a member of the 1976 USHL Championship team. Cole grew up in Plover and was a Hobey Baker Award Winner at the University of Wisconsin this past season.
