With the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the books, seven Admirals alums are still alive in the race for the most prestigious trophy in hockey.
In the Eastern Conference, Mark Jankowski played significant minutes and chipped in an assist as Carolina swept the Ottawa Senators in four games. Meanwhile, defenseman Alexandre Carrier was a key cog in the Canadiens defensive game plan that allowed just 14 goals against the high-powered Tampa offense as they advanced with a game-seven win on Sunday.
Over in the Western Conference the Central Division Finals feature three Ads Alums as Nick Blankenburg and the top seeded Colorado Avalanche take on the Yakov Trenin and Michael McCarron and the Minnesota Wild. Finally the Cole Smith and Colton Sissons and the Vegas Golden Knights face-off against the Anaheim Ducks in round two.
