Ads Kick Off the Homestand Strong

Milwaukee, WI–The Admirals kicked off their seven game homestand with a 6-2 win against the Henderson Silver Knights Friday night at Panther Arena.

Marc Del Gaizo scored two goals, while Spencer Stastney, Ozzy Wiesblatt, and Chase De Leo each came away with a goal and an assist. Throw in a two-assist performance by Scott Reedy and the Ads have five players with multi-point night.

Magnus Chrona stopped 21 shots in net for Milwaukee to pick the victory, his 10th win of the season.

Scoring kicked off at the midway point of the first period after a few shots from in tight from Cal O’Reilly ultimately allowed an opening for Del Gaizo to land it in the back of the net, making it 1-0 Admirals.

The Ads extended their lead in the second period at 6:14, once again at the hands of Del Gaizo, who performed a quick maneuver around a defender in the slot, beat traffic, and scored his second of the night. The offense continued to dominate at 8:04; Kevin Wall fed the puck from the left circle to Spencer Stastney, leaving him alone to shoot and beat Akira Schmid, making the score 3-0.

Henderson gave a sign of life with 7:13 to go in the second as Alexander Holtz managed to shoot one over the glove of Chrona while Milwaukee was shorthanded. The Admirals topped off the period with their fourth goal courtesy of a Joakim Kemell slapshot on the powerplay from the left circle.

Henderson finished up their scoring early in the third as Kai Uchacz poked it over Chrona after a scramble in front of the net. The Admirals took their turn at 8:47 as Wiesblatt, scoring his 13th goal of the season, was able to tip the pick past Schmid with the help of Kyle Marino making the connection. De Leo made it 6-2 with a quick backhander that went five hole, set up by Reedy.

The Admirals will face the Silver Knights once again on Saturday the 21st at Panther Arena at 6pm.
